2020 has been the year of the unexpected. All plans paused, changed and changed again. There’s certainly been highs and lows on the Coronacoaster and although we seem to be heading in the right direction, we still awaiting guidance for larger celebrations. I for one can’t wait to get back to love-filled celebrations, with packed out dance floors and hugs and kisses shared…. however, we may need to be patient a little while longer.
Many of you may be considering postponing (or already have) to 2021 or even 2022, but for those of you who may not want to wait, myself and Emma Ryan Photography have something we are excited to share.
With smaller, intimate weddings now possible, myself and Emma Ryan have partnered to offer a new service for couples….the opportunity to marry now and party later.
We are proud and excited to introduce our new inclusive service – stylish elopements for modern couples.
We offer a full service elopement from planning to photography as we appreciate there has been a lot of changes to people’s plans recently and we want to take all that on for you. We understand that the legal ceremony means A LOT, especially after the last few weeks, so we want to make this an occasion and celebration of you, for you. One that you can look forward to knowing it will be all that more special as it has been planned and created especially for you.
We want to make you feel like guests to your own wedding day.
Intimate weddings and elopements are definitely on the increase and set to be the next biggest wedding trend thanks to the recent pandemic. Eloping allows you the freedom to be just you two and create a unique, personal experience. For the game-changers, the trend-setters and the forever romantics….It may not be what you had in mind but here are some reasons why you should seriously consider it.
Why should I elope?
Eloping is exciting and adventurous. An intimate adventure for the two of you and a personal way to mark the day you legally got married. Some of you may have had to postpone your larger celebration for a whole year, so why not enjoy a little warm up party – just the two of you.
Is eloping safe?
It’s currently the safest way to get married due to the low guest numbers and the ability to social distance. Sadly, many ceremony’s won’t be able to take place as originally planned, due to the government restrictions, so save yourself the stress of altering plans to suit the gov guidelines and why not marry now and party later.
Can I still have the big party?
100%! Celebration with our loved ones is going to mean so much more and be all that more special going forward. And how amazing will it be when you know you can dance/kiss/hug without any worries?! We are just helping you split the legals from the party. Our elopement service helps you make something meaningful out of the ceremony. To still get married, despite everything, and do it in your own stylish way. We are here for that!
What does your elopement service offer?
Literally everything. After a consultation where we discover your love story and you get to know us …. we will head out to scout locations that suit you as a couple and work out all the logistics. I am your planner and stylist and will coordinate your legal ceremony, your notice period and will manage logistics on the day. I will also arrange your bouquet, buttonhole and HMUA. I can also assist with finding outfits and accessories (additional fee). Emma is your photographer who will beautifully capture your day both in photos and on film. Bonus!
What does it cost?
The investment is £2995 which we feel is of real value for the service you will receive. Everything is covered within that cost so there are no hidden extras.

Why have you partnered up?
Emma and I share a love for timeless and emotive design and imagery. We’ve worked together a few times now and since our first meeting we just ‘clicked’ and have a really good working chemistry. Our focus is always our client and making it the best experience possible. We are both relaxed and easy going and always end up laughing! We also love chic, modern, fierce couples who just want to do things their way.
What locations do you cover?
Currently we work across Yorkshire and The Lake District. We are both based in York and as York is crowned the most beautiful city in the UK, we knew we wanted to offer couples a full elopement service in York. It is full of charm and elegance perfectly offering chic city vibes as well as some cute nooks for some cool and edgy photo opportunities.
I am also originally from the The Lakes District, another stunning location which can offer something different to the York option. So between us we have vast knowledge of epic locations and we will always scout new locations that will suit you both so every elopement we do will be completely unique and tailored to you.
