One of my favourite parts of wedding design is the stationery. It’s one of the first elements your guests come into contact with, so it’s a great opportunity to set the vibe and tone of the day through various design, materials and print options. It’s also an element you can have made entirely bespoke for you ensuring your stationery is completely you and utterly exclusive.
Your stationery then continues throughout the day across signage and your table design (table numbers, menus, place cards etc) so it really does play a huge part in your wedding day. We are blessed with so many wonderful creatives in the UK who are forever inventing new and interesting ways to express couple’s personalities through print and design. In my opinion, stationery is definitely worth the time and investment to ensure it truly reflects you as a couple and how you want your day to be remembered.
It may come as no surprise that as a lover of clean lines and considered design, I’m a big fan of stationers who prioritise typography. Typography is the combination of font types, sizing and spacing and how they are arranged to create something appealing. I think it’s an incredibly versatile design style suitable for all different venues, times of year and you can achieve a luxury look on a reasonable budget. I say reasonable because designing stationery takes time, experience and these suppliers are artists in their own right, and I truly believe you get what you pay for.
